Job Description
Slack Inc. is seeking a passionate and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at our San Francisco headquarters. As part of an Agile development team within a global tech leader, you’ll play a key role in configuring and managing cloud infrastructure, driving efficiency in our development processes, and helping to maintain a seamless deployment pipeline. Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Management (Azure): Configure and maintain robust, scalable, and secure resources in Azure to support business and product needs.
Innovative Solution Development: Analyze project requirements and provide innovative technical solutions that ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability.
Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement improvements to development, deployment, and maintenance processes to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
CI/CD Pipeline Automation: Design, implement, and manage automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows and ensure code is tested and deployed efficiently.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Azure Expertise: Strong experience with Azure cloud services, including the configuration, management, and optimization of resources.
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform): Expertise with Terraform for automating infrastructure provisioning and scaling within cloud environments.
Scripting Languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell): Proficiency in one or more scripting languages to automate tasks and processes efficiently.
CI/CD Pipeline Management: Hands-on experience in automating the software development lifecycle using CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI).
Identity Provider (IDP) Systems (Bonus): Experience with identity provider (IDP) systems is a plus, showcasing your ability to secure and manage user authentication.
Preferred Qualifications:
Agile Team Collaboration: Demonstrated experience working within an Agile framework, collaborating closely with development and operations teams to drive successful project outcomes.
Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to tackle complex technical challenges with a creative and solution-oriented mindset.
Excellent Communication: Capable of articulating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring smooth collaboration across the organization.
